Save your battery on your Motorola DROID

There’s nothing more annoying than the “LOW BATTERY” notice when you don’t have a charger handy!  Well, except, perhaps a dead phone.    :-O

How can you conserve battery power for your Motorola Droid?  I recommend using the Power Control Widget.  With this installed, you can conserve energy by quickly turning ON or OFF the following battery draining features:  WiFi , Blue Tooth, GPS, automatic email/contacts/calendar sync, screen brightness level.

It’s also easy to install, just click:  Menu > Add > Widgets > Power Control.

Now you can enable and disable the features easily, and only use them when you need them.

“DROID!”

Download a task killer app. Just hitting home doesn’t close them. Put one on the home screen so you just have to tap it and it will close all the apps running in the background. When I first DL mine I had 27 apps running I didn’t even know that was. FYI most smart phones start up a list of apps when the phone is rebooted. Mine does 16 this way.
