Add Music Files To iTunes From Your Computer

So maybe you’ve downloaded some songs from Amazon or somebody has sent you a song or a podcast. You know how to get music from your CDs into iTunes, but what about these? It’s as simple as uploading a photo to Facebook or attaching something to an email.

Open iTunes. Click on “File”; if you’re on a PC you’ll see the option to “Add File to Library”; on a Mac it will be “Add Music to Library”. Select that option by clicking on it and you’ll be taken to your file folders. Find the music file (probably a .mp3 file) from wherever you saved it, and double click on it. It will be added to your iTunes library and you’ll be able to play it or drag it to whichever playlist you like.

Rock on!
