Geek Girl Camp Organizes Free Extreme Geek Makeover Contest for Non-profits on Cape Cod and the Islands
Geek Girl Camp has organized a free Extreme Geek Makeover Contest for Non-profits on Cape Cod and the Islands (Massachusetts)! Simply fill out an online contest form below submit it to be considered.
Geek Girls from almost every perspective of computer technology and marketing will come to the winning non-profit and spend a half day to give the winning non-profit a tech tune-up. The Extreme Geek Makeover can be entered by any non-profit with a charitable 501 (c ) (3) status. Simply fill out the online contest form. The Extreme Geek Makeover runs from October 6th until November 30th, 2009 at 5pm. Representatives from Geek Girl and other groups will determine the winner based on need, commitment, initiative, and the most compelling story why you need a makeover!
Winners will receive: A half-day audit and help session at your non-profit organization, based on the areas you wanted to receive help on. Geek Girl Camp will come to your place of business and audit and provide a report on ways to improve your organization. While we will strive to help and fix any small issues the day off, this is only an audit to understand the scope of your business and determine your needs through a report. The Extreme Geek Makeover winner is not obligated to hire any members of Geek Girl Camp, but they may when the final report is done. Report will contain suggestions that are both free resources as well as cost for services, hardware and or software.
Winners will also receive:
- A library of technology books from O’Reilly Media
- Gift Certificates from area business for computer and tech items
- Discounts on products and services from Geek Girl Camp members
- Gift Basket full of geeky things for the office
Winners will be announced in December by email and online. Everyone entering will receive a special gift from Geek Girl Camp.
Extreme Geek Makeover Rules:
You must be a non-profit on Cape Cod and the Islands (Massachusetts) with a 501 (c ) (3) charitable status. You must fill out the online form in full to be considered. Every entry will receive an email confirmation to confirm receipt of the entry. Each non-profit can submit only one entry. Winners will be announced in December by mail. At that time, Geek Girl Camp and the winning non-profit will determine the best day for a half-day audit of the non-profit. Geek Girl Camp is not responsible for winner using any of the technology outside of the realm of the final report and the expressed written directions on any of the equipment specified. This is only an audit and an in-house consultation, training and help seminar for the non-profit and staff.
