OMG – John Tesh just tweeted me…
Written by: Leslie Fishlock // May 7th, 2009 // News
So, my typical day consists of many hours online either blogging, tweeting, Facebooking, LinkingIn, you name it. At the speed of light. Because I am impulsive that way.
I have very little time to get things done and too many things to do. Which is why I really love Twitter. Now, before you say, “Oh God, not another blog on Twitter…”, wait.
I am just going to show you how things happen on Twitter that could never happen anywhere else. Short and sweet.
The other thing you must know about me is that I am totally random. ADD-like random. Rain Man random. Randomly random.
So, for those who follow me on any of my multiple accounts, I tweeted this little random gem.

Almost immediately, this came through my TweetDeck column and I said…OMG

Am I a big John Tesh fan? No. But, not because I don’t like him. I have since starting listening to his music and it is pretty good stuff.
My point here is that I just did something I could have NEVER done through means prior to a live search site like Twitter.
It would have taken weeks for this in any form to get to John Tesh, or @johntesh, if it ever did, and why the hell would he want to know about my random thoughts anyway?
I am sure he still does not care about my random thoughts, but he also saw an opportunity to get engaged with someone that he found using his name in his live search stream. He seems quite in tune with his brand – his name – and even if the comment was not, “John Tesh I love you and I think you are a God!”, he still found value in RTing and commenting in a humorous way.
He made me like him.
That’s what YOU ALL need to do on Twitter and other information sites.
1.) Follow your live search feeds on Twitter
2.) Good or Bad, answer the person who mentions your brand or name in their tweets – you’ll make a fan either way
3.) Sometimes a sense of humor goes a long way!
Now, where the hell was Yanni and Michael Bolton???
Have you ever had a Twitter moment like this? Let us know!
